Founded by Andrea Capezzuoli, melodeon player, composer and
arranger active on Milan music scene since over fifteen
years , in
cooperation with the sax by Luca Rampinini, the guitar by Mattia Ghion and the fiddle by
Marco Ghezzo. It is a folk musik
project fusing the traditional italian sound with
atmospheres evoking far places and jazz improvisation.
The result is an explosive cocktail,
frisky, convivial, exploring new worlds though remaining
anchored to its own north-italian roots: accordions, fiddle,
sax, piano, guitar and vocals, accompanied by driving foot
tapping, a percussion that gives a unique touch to the band
sound.
The concert frizzy rhythm and increasing
emotion capture and involve both the playful dancers and the
attentive ear of music lovers. The four musicians notes give
rein to stories, tales, legends and myths so familiar as
universal. A journey full of energy and complicity
characterized by joyful atmosphere and good music pleasure.
A dive in the italian folk musik, thanks
to the four musicians experience and talent and to the warm
and hilarious energy that moves and inspires them since many
years now.
Since 2006, in fact, Andrea Capezzuoli e
Compagnia has trodden the boards of italian and foreign
festivals (Germany, Belgium, France, Switzerland), receiving
unanimous approval both from critics and audience. The band
has also recorded two CDs “Suonato coi piedi” (2007) and “Tutto
per Amore” (2009) (both recommended by the french magazine
TRADMAG).
On the occasion of dance workshops and
dance concerts the band is also supported by two "callers", Ivano
Capelli and Nicola Brighenti, as masters of
ceremony, indicating the dance figures.
